Day workshop - Philosophy
What is it, how might philosophical thinking help you? An introduction to the history and theory of philosophy and some practical ideas on using it to enhance your experience of the world. Details to be announced.
Our programme will also include Silence as reflective practice (theories and practical ways to develop the use of silence in your normal routine to enhance life and work); Saying it in words (using writing and language to survive better in stressful times). Venue in York to be confirmed
Continuing workshops
We are continuing to extend our workshops on Managing bullying in the workplace and on Stress management into new organisations. Both of these issues are likely to become more important as numbers diminish and workloads increase in organisations trimming down to fit tighter budgetary restrictions. These workshops help employees at all levels to recognise the symptoms of bullying and of stress and to learn strategies to deal with these issues. The benefits of a happier workforce, lower absenteeism and a resultant healthier organisation are clear to those who tackle these matters. An added benefit is the reduced chance of a case ending in a tribunal hearing.
We continue to deliver our two-day course on Listening Skills for managers. Enhanced listening skills play a crucial role in sound management practice. We are based in York and work predominately in Yorkshire and the North-East of the UK, although we do have colleagues around the UK and we are able to travel and offer training wherever you are based.
